news.

09.01.06: TSR comp is due out today, but it's not here yet. Hopefully tomorrow. Probably more like next week. Show on the 9th in Harrisburg. Actually it's in Lemoyne, but basically Harrisburg. Recording is going well, but slow. Progress is being made I assure you. Thanks to everyone for all your support. Things are going well. I will be headed to Honduras in a couple weeks to help some folks out.

07.16.06: No, I'm not dead. The TSR Comp is titled "Remember Your Roots" and will be out next month. Visit the newly redesigned twelvestepper.com to check it out. You can download one of my songs from the album here. I now have some merch available online. You can visit my ridiculous online store if you want. Yes, I know the stuff is a little pricey but trust me, I don't make any money from this. I am an "uncle" for the first time. One of my best friends, Andy, just had a daughter. Olyvia Emily Resseguie. I'll get to meet her next week. My new album is being recorded (ever so slowly), and it should have 13 to 15 songs and be released late this year. More details on that as I get them.

05.29.06: Yea, yea, yea... so I'm quite horrible at unpdating the website. I've been in DC for a few weeks. I have recorded a bunch of songs since my last update and figured a lot of things out about the next record. The TSR comp should be coming out shortly. I will have two unreleased songs on it, along with unreleased songs from Against Me!, and oldies but goodies from New Bruises, 48 Thrills, Mid Carson July, and a ton more. I think that was a run-on. I'm already over it. There are a bunch of things in the works that I would love to share but ought not at this point.

03.05.06: Congratulations Andy and Rachel Resseguie, friends of mine that were just married. I could not attend the ceremony because I got stuck in Jackson, Mississippi. It was horrible. Regardless, I managed to meet some pretty cool people at this Irish pub called Fenian's. If you have to go to Jackson, you have to go to Fenian's. I'm playing at another Irish pub here in Baton Rouge in a few days. Scott got a new bass and the search for a drummer continues.

02.15.06: Wow... I had no idea it had been so long since I updated the site. I keep regular updates on myspace.com/nickutah because when I think punk rock, I think Fox subsidiaries. Maybe I'll turn this into more of a rant/ramble/blog deal. Here we go: I'm in Texas. San Antonio right now. I've been traveling around the Lone Star State and there seems to be nothing worthwhile outside of Fort Worth. I think I'm going to go to Phoenix for a while when I'm done here. Probably be at the Counter Culture Cafe everyday. That place is fantastic. My favorite dry building in the country probably. I'm contemplating staying in one place for some reasonable duration of time. The only question is where. Right now Humboldt County California is the frontrunner, but I'm open to suggestions. I'm going to record a full length this summer. TSR is putting out a comp around the same time. I'll get to be on the comp with a few of my favorite bands which is pretty cool. For my next record I am going to have a drummer. Either jazz or hip hop influenced I think. A few months ago I started writing my first fictional piece. I'm hoping it blossoms into a novel. I've also cut back my drinking. It was seriously getting out of hand. I do not, however, encourage anyone else to limit their alcohol intake unless they desire to do so completely independent from my decision. Two x's for the eyes and one for the mouth. Keep them there.

10.18.05: The song "We Keep Odd Hours" will be featured on a This Is Kaos (from Florida) compilation. There is a video for the song which can be found here. The new album "Conversations of a Panic Room" will be released exclusively on Music For America. More details coming...
